You were probably quite surprised that I had actually joined my games already, weren't you ?

Not surprised, just proud.

I think some people are just waiting until the 18th to join the games, either because they have too many games running right now, or just because they like the extra time to study the map, watch other games, choose their CO, etc. And that's perfectly fine, I set the date there for a reason.

I just put up the list so I could get an organized idea of who is active and not. There are a lot of people on the list (nyvelion, UTP, newfreshd, d-american_soldier, etc) who got booted from or didn't join their Round 1 games. But they're still active, so maybe they'll join and play their Round 2 games. I was actually surprised there were so few inactive people considering the number of auto-wins we've had from boots or otherwise.

I won my round 1 games (one vs nyv who was booted, and one vs headphone because he decided to attack at a time and place where it wasn't a good idea (that and Jake is never a good co pick.))
I joined my round 2 games. But my opponents haven't yet. (I took my time joining because of real life and I always find it hard picking the right CO for the map.)

Won vs SM ephraim

Not sure why he resigned so early on.....though I do admit I think it was a big mistake to build a stealth, would have been better off with rockets from the northern base probably if he wanted to tech up. He just never went on the offensive for some reason and it cost him. on day 9 he could have easily counter attacked me, at the worst we would have just traded units. By trading he could have given himself a better opportunity to control more of the middle area.

Oh well, GG nonetheless I suppose. I would have liked to play that match out though....but oh well.

It was just pointed out to me by DarthBowser that none of the Round 2 games have day limits, while it clearly states in the rules that all group games will have them. This was a mistake on my part, but I don't think it's worth recreating the un-started games to fix. Just wanted to point out the mistake to everyone, and sorry for the inconsistency.

@Felix: Well it find this map really hard for offensive play since it's rather easy to shell yourself in. I remember a league game which was going for almost 35 days with almost no progression in eather direction.
I can see why SM Ephraim gave up He had some defense, yeah, but your unit count is far superior. You have a lot more tanks than him and enough AAs to take his copters down. His stealth has already been countered very well by a fighter (which renders his copters almost useless again) and a significant funds advantage would have been coming along the way. But I agree, it's sad that you couldn't play out your trump cards. This is one of the most exciting things about AWBW. Like George Peppard used to say as Hannibal Smith: "I love it when a plan comes together."

Not to sound pessimistic, but forgetting the day limit could be a problem if there are total stalemates. I suppose you could enforce day limits otherwise but that approach is also problematic.

We should just enforce day limit 40 everywhere in my opinion. And send out a mass pm to remind people of it.

Im not particualrly confident on this game, i screwed up in too many turns while positioning infantry, my expansion during the capturing phase was bad too.
