We need a SPY Unit :p

Talk about custom COs, units, classes, weapons or anything else.

Well I imagine the spy would be SMART so as not to be detected by other units..... except footsoldiers who really would notice...

Alright would it be better if only direct air and land units could hit the spy when hidden? Not only that but would a price of 10000 work? (Personally I think it's a bit overkill but seems like not many agree with 7500...)

The main reason I thought of this idea was because I was tired of artillery killing my infantry... if the artillery can hit a hidden spy it completely defeats the point of the unit IMO...

Well you got to take into account that it would be a really hard unit to kill. 1 unit would have to discover it and another unit (in the original verson an infantry with low mp and no chance of ohko) would have to take it out.

perhaps even make the spy a ohko by infantry and move it back down to original

Sounds an awful lot like all other units in Fog.

Generally units in fog can hide from view in forests unless other units come right up to them (The air unit "tip" is a gigantic, disappointing lie) >.>

Anyways, the unit just sorta seems like a supped up infantry with portable fog of war.

I remember mentioning stealth infantries as a joke unit in the chat one day. They are very, very broken even at 7500.

How about making them 10k, every unit is able to fire at it, but these spies are only "unhidden" if an infantry or mech unit is next to it?

It would be rather weird but it would still be broken since it would force the mass use of infantries or mechs just to advance and stuffing these things in choke points would still be overdone by far.

bit like an SAS unit or US seal, something which easily hides or camouflages and can do special stuff (stronger damage than inf), and only other soldiers are good at scouring them out. .. sounds good.

One way round the spam invisible meatshield problem might be simply to say that if an infantry unit stumbles upon them, then, the infantry unit can, in that turn attack them?

probly a silly idea, but thought it might add to the stew. (if it has been mentioned before i shall discipline myself in the usual way)
