So I just got Hero Academy on steam, and this was a thread I found in their forums:

Highlights

it seems to me that 40 minutes of inactivity is a clear sign my opponent has abandoned the game and has no intention of pressing forward

Some games can take weeks if not a month or more to finish.

No I'm sorry but waiting 1-2 weeks because Average Joe wanted to take a shower before playing a turn is not fun.

Man, why would anybody ever use forums on a pc. Waiting for each response and conversations can take days. There are so many voips out there that using a forum is just dumb. Go mail a letter if you want your conversations to take forever. Slow conversations have no place on our pc's.

Its quite enjoyable, I haven't played enough to comment on balance or anything, but there have been turns where I needed to put some decent thought into my moves.
