Why do people drag on games?

Continuing on from a bad position can be excellent practise and a great way to improve. It forces you to maximise every move and every unit counts, much more than for your opponent.

Of course, sometimes you're just screwed no matter what, in which case it's just annoying to keep playing. But in many cases you learn a lot more by having to take on a superior force.

hey its christmas ..... everyone get out of the trenches and take a little brandy or whatever tipple takes your fancy .... i wish someone would get aet ed against me ... i would like that ...like a free eagle scop for xmas... maybe he s been partying and simply cant improve his position.
i know i m not one to talk. If you dont want your opponents to think so long you could just play worse ... then sure theyll go faster!
You have to take it as a compliment .... the longer they think, the better was your play.... well often anyway.

yeah sorry about that, i've not had much time lately (i.e the last 3+ months...), plus my internet has been screwing around so i couldn't get on. which sucks. shame the game hadn't really got started yet, could have been interesting.
