Hello people, I'm a new map designer that specialises in less than 20*20 maps. So far I've made just 5 maps, 4 15*15 maps and a joke 5*20 map.

Hey, dont take it as an offense, but it is obvious that you are quite a beginner in terms of mapmaking.

I suggest you to look at this topic:

3 hints:
You should make more use of the different terrain in Advance Wars. You limit the tactical options if you create a map which is full of wood or full of mountains or something like that.

The biggest problems of your maps 2,3, and 4 is that they all encourage "turtle-play" with artilleries and rockets. If two good and equally skilled players would play these maps, they would hardly ever finish.

The last map is obviously unfair, since the green player (who already has the last turn) has way less white platforms on its way then the other players. It doesnt even make sense to attack the other players infrantries at all, since the lucky one is always the player who hasnt been attacked before (If Player 1 attacks Player 2, Player 3 is in advantage and so on). Additionally, I dont expect it to be fun to make a fight like that with 1 infrantry. :wink:
