This map is supposed to be able to create sea battles.

The roads between countries are intentionally choked out, and each country only has one factory in order to reduce spam and promote more sea units (sea is also the reason why there is a fairly large amount of cities for the amount of space).

It was somewhat difficult for 8p, but i also wanted this map to be as small as possible while still being playable.

It could be ffa or teams

Way too small for a naval map. There's no room to maneuver at all.

As mentioned previously, this map was intended to be quite small. Units may be somewhat difficult to position, but i think its feasible to say that sea units will have a significant impact on the outcome of the game.

The thing is, that it IS too small. THere isn't enough funding for sea units, and people will just wait 5-7 turns to build any sea units.

Even then, people would just wait for Infantry and Rockets. Usually someone would drop out, all of their properties would be taken, and that person would win easily.

You are counting on someone to drop out. No map works when someone drops out, always resulting in a win for the person who had someone drop out next to them.

If you say people will wait for infantry and rockets and never get to battleships than you might as well say people will wait for artillery and never get to rockets, both which would be invalid arguments.

This map is too small for naval units, and needs more funding.
And the map is too narrow for the land units.

In an 8 player game, someone ALWAYS drops out. Even if you get active people, something ALWAYS happens. And you're right, no map works when someone drops out. Which is why 8 player maps rarely, if ever, work.

i guess those airports wil get heavily contested,which is a bit too centered for my tastes...
not counting it will take long before any real battle starts, but i guess that´s just because the map is too small, and doesnt has room for more bases(at leasttwo)
