Just a quick announcement. Colosseum signups will remain open until 11/01. I want to have the total number of players be a multiple of seven though, which means 35 or 42 or 49 etc. So if we end up at 37 players at the end of signups, I will take the first 35 for Season 6 and put the last 2 on a waiting list in case someone drops out. I would like to aim for 42 (6 divisions of 7 players), but we could do 35 too (I doubt we'll get to 49).

If you are signed up for Colosseum currently and decide that you don't want to play, please let me know before signups close. If you aren't signed up and want to play, I recommend signing up sooner rather than later so that you are more guaranteed to get a spot.

Right now I'm looking at sorting people into divisions irrespective of which categories they wanted. Then you will play a certain number of players from your division and a certain number from surrounding divisions so that your category requests are satisfied. We'll rank players within divisions by total number of points (2 for win, 1 for draw), and also keep a separate list for point leaders within each category (HF, FoW, etc). People moving up and down divisions at the end of each season will be determined by the total points. We will still be doing 6 games per season at a rate of 2 per month.

Hopefully this sounds good to you all, it looks like it should work out well. The only downside is that not everyone will play the same strength of schedule, but I don't think that is a huge issue. I also have several maps selected for each category, and it looks like it should be a lot of fun.

After signups close, I'll finalize the list of the divisions and the match up order, post some maps and we'll be under way!

Update: I'm going to cap Season 6 at 42 players. We're at 40 right now, so that means room for 2 more.

And signups are now closed for Season 6. We have 42 participants, which means 6 divisions of 7 players each. I will be determining divisions and matchups in the next few days, and hopefully we will be starting Season 6 before the end of the week (November 3rd or 4th probably). I will be sending pm's when games have been made.
