So my first rounds looking to have a problem. http://awbw.amarriner.com/game.php?games_id=141655 Divva can't play his game, and someone else I think just logged on to tell me that. Jenni possibly? Though I'm not quite sure what Morgan_Leah or D-American Soldier have to do with it. (Unless one's maybe an alt.?) Anyways what should I do, set draw or just proceed on with the game? I don't really think it would be entirely fair for me to have to set draw and quit this tournament just because my opponent couldn't play his first round. :/

Greetings All,

Whilst it's disappointing that there has been a crashed game and some drops, it doesnt matter because the tourney will be restructured. This will happen in the next few days.

Pls. remember this is a casual tourney.

General rule : There will be no qualification to the next round of this tourney without a fair victory.

General rule ?.. as an independant bystander... speaking from the safety of a white UN megatank ... i think the general rule might be rather ....
"not to eliminate anyone who has not been fairly and squarely thrashed"
(or perhaps dont elimate anyone who was on the verge of kicking ass before getting buggered by a bug)

Remembering the massive interest in the first couple of rounds of the no-hold barred tourney, and how quickly that atmosphere petered out (when people were down and out) ... perhaps it not too late to do the following... a swiss style tourney..

OKAY---the winners play the winners, (cf. usual KO part)
losers play losers
drawers play drawers
with a bit of compromise to ensure everyone faces a new opponent.

Of course AWBW is not a very spectator friendly sport... how many people have ever "followed" an AW final ? The knock-out format with a final somehow doesnt generate hysteria en masse nor TV coverage like other sports . Keeping people involved by playing without eliminating might be the way to keep more people animated and participating.

Just an idea. Whatever...
Nice tourney and some interesting maps.
Psycho and co. play on a curios map ... and strangely both players violated opening principles by not buying on every base every turn.
Pity about the AET/APC bug mess .... maybe its connected with the fact that both APC and AET are expressed in same format= 3 caps! ( ) Ive heard of wierder things.

My game ended after my opponent resigned on day two; http://awbw.amarriner.com/game.php?games_id=141614

I'm fine with either getting a new opponent or going to the next round.

I somehow managed to pull that out of my ass after a horrible start. Great match Lalann.

Well done, another shock defeat and two Sami victories. Sami can be a very dangerous proposition on many of my maps because of high base count and exposed, multiple hqs!

Maybe Sami should be auto-banned next round?
