The Warlord Round is now sudden death, elimination. The winners of Round 2 , will meet in a playoff game which will qualify them for the semi-final round.

Round 2 Warlord Tourney : The two winners will proceed to W-7 and the winner of that game will play in the Semis..

Interesting map and game... in an interesting tournament.
Looking over the game... very curious how both players did not buy on all bases regularly early on. Was this risky play or was there worthwhile compensation ? I havent studied this map or game much... it is wierd and may take a bit of time to get an idea of whats going on.

With the game settings it was simply not possible to build from all bases.
Infantry was a lab unit. Income was 1.5 per property.
Cheapest unit was 3k Mech (3.6k for me being Kanbei)

So it was a very non-standard game

In my humble opinion Sami can defeat both Kanbei and Grit on that map! Although Hachi would be much more difficult, it was CO selection critical, as ichbinsehselber said.

Welcome to Round 'C' Catastrophe...

This is the third major round of the Red11 Tourney, players have made it to this auspicious round, by virtue of strong performance in Rounds "Dog" and "Boot Camp".

The six players here have all shown ruggedness, determination, imagination and skill at some earlier point in the tourney. They know how to win...

Unfortunately this a knockout round, it's time to find three qualifiers for the Semis and it's time to eliminate three more players. Will this round be "Crescendo" or catastrophe?

The_Odd_One has not been active sinse 09/30/2011. I had the tourney match set up for about two weeks, but The_Odd_One never joined. I think the match was deleted for not starting. I could set up another one, but I doubt he will join. I do not think I will be able to have a match with him

If nothing is heard from him and ptaward i will carefully consider restructuring the tourney.

This will have no effect on current Round C games, which still qualify for the semi-finals.

I don't think I will ever understand why people build neotanks....what a waste. rarely is the 1 extra move and slightly increased firepower worth 6k more. With that many bases I can't see why you wouldn't send md and arty together, much better use of the 6k imo. or just MD and normal tank for 1k more...either way...

I think Im Pro You Blow has been having some access problems.

It's disappointing, perhaps it would have been better to stage the last part of this tourney next year, maybe heading into xmas can be an issue for some players.

basically cause they OHKO sturm inf on plains and this game was pure spamming anyway, units got more every turn.


back to topic.
that game turned out to be spamming units, so i decided to all-in suicide. After failing more or less, I lost motivation to gather my troops for 10 turns into a stalement, especially as there were no really contested areas (note to Red11: these game settings/map didn't really work).
Got some AETs, but finally Im_Pro_You_Blow was booted.

If Im_Pro_You_Blow returns in time, he can continue this tourney as winner - he deserves it.
