Thanks ichbinsehselber, my goal was to make an entertaining tourney, that showcased a few of my maps. (No doubt, a vain endeavour). :-)

I think it has worked out nicely with these two rounds. I feel, to proceed into the semi-finals from here you will have to show that you are a truly tough and talented player. The field in Round C have been the outstanding players of the tourney, the field in W have all won one game and W contains many good players, according to the results im seeing in other tournaments.

The four semi-finalists will have earnt their place. 8)

Assuming this was directed to me - I didn't mean to complain in any way and can't even consider a possible reason to do so.

It's more that Round W just looks very good, would've liked to play in it for additional fun :)

Plus me. I have been very lucky that's all.

Tourney has been organized very well so far and has been fun to play in.
The somewhat "special" maps turned out to be fun as well imho.

I have conquered the halberd in the W2 battle vs Azzaphox. http://awbw.amarriner.com/game.php?games_id=146632
It was an interesting game showing that Sami is weaker when the bases are far away from the front.

After winning the halberd, now I own a weapon, which I will hopefully be able to use in the next battle. Will the next battle be for a piece of armor?

Hello All,

Well, it's obvious there has been massive disruption at the website which has affected the three current games in a big way.

My ruling is this : games should continue as they are. If a player has missed a turn so be it, the funds will still be accrued from the missed turn.

Future games : When the website has returned to a more stable condition other games will commence, including Round 'C'.

If anyone has any specific comments regarding this, please post here or private message me.

Regards - Red11

My opponent unfortunately was booted from our game. Its a shame; I felt I had the advantage and could have won.

ptaward versus Janusmarine 1:0

That map becomes particularly interesting when the pipeseams start collapsing..Max is not a bad choice at all, because Medium Tanks can quickly be used to open up the pipeseams and gain the open map space in which Max excels.

In this particular game, bursting through the middle seam with light tanks took valuable firepower away from the main fight(s).

And even if he burst through a pipe, I can sit an infantry on the nearby city. It will cause a two day delay on his attack while I can set up an artillery strike, or just build a bigger tank to counter what's coming.

Yes, a Medium tank with Max will burst through faster (I assume 2 days without assistance), but using the income in that respect will severely weaken your other fronts.

So with those two factors, I didn't even mess with the seams.

A very fun game and map. I wish it didn't end in a boot.

I am planning to set my vacation flag for 9-14 days from tomorrow.
This is only relevant if the 2nd round of the swiss tourney is about to start.

Why I Lost Red11?

If I have the advantage in this game.

I just left my vacation waiting to the page back to the normally, but unfortunately the game was blocked.

There not another way to do this?.

A fast game in a short map, maybe?

To red11. Im sure many of us would like to "see" the final and semis possibly (if they are not in fog !?).
Wonder if you could put a link on the front lead article to the latest page showing who is still left in and at what stage the tourney is at.
Also maybe you could post a note in AWBW chat when these general interest latter games come around, especially the final, for people like me who dont always check here. Thnx.

Hello All,

Ive become fairly pre-occupied with rl, but im awaiting the end of the last round before kicking off Round C and part 2 of Round W. I've also gotta check that everyone still in the tourney is still around.

My plan is to kick all that off, next weekend, which would be friday if you happen to live further from the dateline than me.:-)

Sorry 'bout the delay, hope this message reaches you in good spirits and good health.
