I have a question concerning the ladder. Let's say i lose my match to excrimophalus. He's ranked higher so my rank doesn't change. Could i theoretically just keep challenging him over and over until i beat him once and take his spot? Because that seems silly.

Yes. But during this time, people would beat you or would beat people ranked better than you, so your rank would slowly drop.

But, for example, if neither of us quit the ladder, US and me will probably keep challenging each other forever...

I was a bit surprised that after it was loaded, you waited as long as you did to use your scop.

Ah when I got my SCOP you had your defenses set up so that the only things I could attack would be infantry and it would be from roads or plains. So i wanted to wait a turn to try to set myself up . It didn't work haha.
