Hello, I`m new here and looking for an opponent?

Hello, I`m new here and looking for an opponent on Advance Wars by Web 2.1?

I joined a game called "Zz... Quiet Repose Jun 3 Fog" to play "cowsheeppig" but nothing has happened as I expected the game to load up so we could play unless I`m doing something wrong :?:

I also created two small games on the same type of map to try this website out so I hope someone will be able to play against me soon.
The games are called "Quick tank fun anyone?" & "Quick fun anyone?" so I hope one of you more experienced players will show me how to load up a map to play on it :?:

Thankyou in advance to whoever helps me out 8)
ps. I`ve played all the Advance Wars games against the A.I. on them so I know all the units & C.O.`s so I know how to play the game

joined one of your games, just start it :)
Also, the movement is different than in the games:
You can't move a unit, look how much damage it would do and then undo its movement.
If you want that info use the damage calculator
Maybe you knew it already, but this is what bugged me in the beginning ;)

Thank you CO Raven, I tried inviting "CO Raven" in the game but I think you must use a different username there. Sorry I`m new. Hope to play you one day 8) .

Thankyou for the advice. The screen is sooooooo small though. Could someone tell me how to enlarge the game screen please?

Only thing I can really think of is to simply zoom in using your internet browser. Anyways if you stick around long enough you'll get used to it pretty quickly. Its a lot better than having to scroll around all the time.

Also good to have you on the site :D

'ctrl +' works on firefox
If you want it back to normal use 'ctrl 0'

My AWBW name is CO_Raven. I had to make a new forum account due to stupid errors. If you want, you can set up a game or if you can't, I can set one up on my end.

Welcome to the site :)
Do you know how to create games? If not I will create one.
You could also join some games at 'Waiting public' if you don't want to wait.

People have already posted a ton here, but just to clarify:

Join any game with Z at the front, you'll be good. Z games can take as long as a day to start, so keep that in mind. Z games are usually geared towards newer and older players alike on hand picked maps to ensure balance.

If you plan on being an active player, the Global League is pretty awesome. It generates games for you, and you can set how many games you want to play concurrently at any given time. It also tries to match you up with players close to your skill level, ranking you up or down based on wins or losses. It might be a bit more difficult than Z games early on, though either choice is good.

Many tournaments here may already be in progress, but the Cup signups happen once every month, and usually have fairly good competition.
